Collection Agencies in Montana

Montana is a great place to start collection agencies. If you are not ready to go out on your own, then there are a lot of collection agencies in Montana that would make great employers. Montana is located in the Western United States and has a population of almost a million people. In a state with an average unemployment rate of 6.8 %, collections agencies are doing quite well. Montana’s economy is based primarily on Agriculture and seasonal industries like Agriculture usually keep collection agencies very busy because many business owners only receive income when their crops are sold so their regular monthly payment obligation can become late and be assigned to collection agencies. In addition to this there are a number of individuals that work seasonally. They have the same issues as the business owners causing some of their accounts to be assigned to collection agencies.

In 2003 Montana ranked 47th in the Nation in Per Capita Income at $25,406. The state economy has grown rapidly and in 2005 Montana has moved up to 39th in the Nation with a Per Capita of $29,387. Growing economies are very helpful for collection agencies because this means more people are spending more money which in turn causes more accounts to become delinquent and to be sent to the various collection agencies in the state.

Personal Income Tax in Montana contains seven brackets, with rates that range from 1% to 6.9%. There is no sales tax in Montana and household goods are exempt from property taxes.
