Collection Agencies in Nebraska

Over one million eight hundred thousand people live in Nebraska. This makes collection agencies in the state very busy. Nebraska’s Per Capita income, in 2004, was $31,339 ranking it twenty fifth in the Nation. Nebraska has a large agricultural sector and is an important produce of pork, beef, soybeans, and corn, and that is usually a boon to collection agencies in the state. Another large area of the economy is rail and truck freight transportation and because of some of the difficulties that this industry has endured, collection agencies have seen their business pick up. As of January 2010 the state’s unemployment rate was only 4.6%. This means that Nebraska collection agencies need to hire people.

Other important economic sectors in Nebraska include manufacturing, information technology, telecommunications, and insurance. These industries create a lot of business related work for the state’s collection agencies. Nebraskan companies such as Berkshire Hathaway, ConAgra, Mutual of Omaha, InfoUSA, TD Ameritrade, and Union Pacific Railroad employ a lot of people and all of those people have bills and that means that a certain percentage of those bills will become delinquent and be assigned to collection agencies.

There are a number of Indian Reservations in the state of Nebraska but it is not often that collection agencies are able to be of much assistance in this area because of the protections that are applied to Indians living on a Reservation. In summary, Nebraska is a great place to find a job and collection agencies in Nebraska are a great place to work. And with Nebraska’s progressive state income tax rates that range from 2.56% to 6.84%, it is a good state to keep more of what you earn.
